Positions Available1DescriptionThe Inspection de l'Enseignement Secondaire Général (IESG) in Togo has requested the support of a Peace Corps Response Volunteer (PCRV) to serve as an English Language Teacher Trainer. The Ministry of Education (MoE) is putting more emphasis on English Language learning in Togo. Togo joined the Commonwealth of Nations in 2022 and is prioritizing English language teaching at the primary school level, with an identified need for more trained teachers. One way of doing this is to provide on-the-job training to English Teachers in the field. The Inspections for Secondary Education offices are in charge of this training and have identified a need for support to design and implement these trainings.The PCRV will collaborate with IESG to plan English teaching and training activities and model teach and/or engage in peer observation of general and English teaching skills with teachers.
